What it is, in one sentence

Waifumaker is a 3D character collector you play in a browser: prisms pile up while you are in the room, the cash that speeds them up comes out of the shells you break in the run, and the girl standing in the light changes as the ladder gives way.

Longer description

Waifumaker is built around a single loop and takes it seriously. In the grow tab, a character stands in a lit room behind a window that carries her name, a bank of prisms and the lemma board that feeds them. Prisms arrive with time, not with play; spend them and the next model opens in front of you. In the fight tab, the same girl walks a corridor: a punch loop with a placed weak spot, a punisher meter for one big area hit, and glass shells holding the loot that pays for the lemmas.

The art direction is the point. Every surface is treated as part of the toy rather than as browser chrome, the HUD is geometry seated in the world, and the game targets the production standard of the top of the mobile market rather than the middle of the web. Characters are hand-sculpted and hand-posed; the room's light, its veil and its palette are authored, not default.

There is no account, no cloud and no backend for the player: a save lives in the browser's own storage. Nothing in the game is monetised.
